Mary Shacklett, President, Transworld Data
Mary E. Shacklett is an internationally recognized technology commentator and President of Transworld Data, a marketing and technology services firm. Prior to founding her own company, she was Vice President of Product Research and Software Development for Summit Information Systems, a computer software company; and Vice President of Strategic Planning and Technology at FSI International, a multinational manufacturer in the semiconductor industry.

Mary has business experience in Europe, Japan, and the Pacific Rim. She has a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin and an MA from the University of Southern California, where she taught for several years. She is listed in Who's Who Worldwide and in Who's Who in the Computer Industry.

Mary Jander, Managing Editor, UBM's Future Cities
Mary Jander comes to UBM's Future Cities from Internet Evolution, where she was Executive Editor. Previously, she was Site Editor of Byte and Switch and a longtime Senior Editor of Light Reading. She has spent over 27 years reporting and writing on information technology and networking, including nine years on the senior editorial team of Data Communications magazine. Mary also spent many years as a freelance copy editor for a range of book publishing companies. She has a Bachelor's Degree in English and business from City College of New York and Marymount/Fordham, Tarrytown. She now lives in rural Nova Scotia, where her hobbies include fly fishing and seal beating.

Stan Swete, Chief Technology Officer, Workday
Stan Swete is chief technology officer at Workday and is responsible for Workday's overall technology strategy, direction, and execution.

Prior to Workday, Stan spent 10 years at PeopleSoft in a number of key leadership roles, including head of the products and technology organization that included more than 4,000 employees. He was also manager of tools development, general manager of financial applications, general manager of CRM, and was responsible for the initial release of PeopleSoft's Internet architecture. Prior to PeopleSoft, Stan spent 10 years with ASK Computer Systems, including management of ASK's VAX product line.

Stan holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
