Re: Too Big to Fail I certainly agree with Rhea's points about why losing public housing would be hugely damaging and destructive; however, I also am with you, tbulone, in that I don't think it will ever be entirely eliminated. With that said, any elimination of public housing, like closures and cutbacks, is going to have a detrimental effect on society. So I think Rhea's concern, while overstated, is still pretty valid.
Too Big to Fail Although public housing will suffer for some time given the times we live in now, I don't believe public housing will ever be eliminated completely. Far too many people depend on it. There will be significant cutbacks, closures, and public-private partnerships, but no politician is going to get behind a plan that completely eliminates such a popular concept. Like it or not, it's here to stay.
