On April 3, 2024, the GSMA website released the certification result of iMaster MAE for the 3GPP Security Assurance Specifications (SCAS). In September 2023, MAE had also obtained the GSMA Network Equipment Security Assurance Scheme (NESAS) certificate. With these achievements, MAE became the first element management system (EMS) to pass both GSMA NESAS and 3GPP SCAS certifications.

Passing both NESAS and SCAS certifications is a significant achievement in MAE's external security certification process. This accomplishment establishes a strong foundation for MAE's leading position in the EMS's cybersecurity field. It demonstrates that MAE complies with the industry's rigorous certification standards and contributes positively to the development of these standards.

NESAS and SCAS are cybersecurity certification standards that are led by GSMA and 3GPP, respectively. These standards have been jointly developed by mobile operators, equipment vendors, and government regulators. Mobile operators include Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, China Mobile, etc. Equipment vendors include Huawei, Ericsson, etc. Government regulators include Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI) and Britain's National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). These parties collaborate closely on security standards, certification systems, and innovation in security technology to jointly develop and enhance unified and objective cybersecurity certification standards.

Trust in cybersecurity is a significant challenge that the world is currently facing in the digital age. Huawei is committed to supporting GSMA and 3GPP in the development of a globally standardized cybersecurity certification. We will continue to abide by the laws and regulations of the countries where our products are deployed in an open and transparent manner. Furthermore, we will proactively adopt and develop the best security practices in the industry, obtain authoritative security certifications continuously, and conduct independent third-party security evaluations. Our goal is to provide our customers with secure and trustworthy products and services.
