OptronX to Demo at NFOEC

To exhibit the OPX10G Transponder and the OPR10G Receiver

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- OPTRONX Inc., a world leader in the design of high speed optoelectronic subsystems, announced today that the company will exhibitthe OPX10G Transponder and the OPR10G Receiver at the National Fiber Optic Engineering Conference (NFOEC), July 8 through 12, in Baltimore, Maryland. The OPX10G is a compact, low power consumption transponder operating at 1310nm wavelength and focused at the short reach (SR) and intermediate reach (IR) optical networking applications. The transponder dissipates less than 4.0 Watts power typical with an uncooled 1310nm Fabry-Perot (FP) or Distributed Feedback (DFB) Laser. The DFB Laser version has very high speed performance with room temperature eye-margins >15% typical, and meeting the SONET eye-mask requirements under high temperature operating conditions. It is advertised by the OptronX marketing team as having the “best 10G uncooled transponder eye in the business”. The OPX10G is available in either the compact 300 Pin MSA standard (3.0” x 2.0” x 0.53”) or in the ultra-compact 200 Pin MSA standard (3.0” x 1.6” x 0.53”) package. Also being demonstrated is the OPR10G Receiver module. The OPR10G Receiver is a low cost, very compact, surface mount packaged receiver less than a US dime in size. It has a sensitivity better than –19dBm at 10-10 BER. The OPR10G Receiver is a component in the OPX10G Transponder. Both the OPX10G Transponder and the OPR10G Receiver will be demonstrated by appointment at the NFOEC Conference.
