Avanex to Demo Raman Amp, Mux

FREMONT, Calif. -- Avanex Corporation (Nasdaq: AVNX), the global provider of photonic processors that enable next-generation performance for optical communications networks, will demonstrate a prototype of the newest member of its PowerMux(TM) family of wavelength channel processors at NFOEC 2001. Avanex also will introduce its PowerExpress(TM) Raman Amplifier, which, when used in conjunction with traditional Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifiers, provides a high-performance, cost-effective solution designed specially for long-span, high-channel-count metro networks.
