The Autonomous Network Industry Summit, hosted by TM Forum during the Ultra-Broadband Forum (UBBF), was a resounding success in achieving its goal of accelerating the widespread deployment of L3 and exploring innovative L4 practices. Distinguished speakers from leading organizations such as Zain Jordan, Du, Appledore, and Huawei shared their expertise on stage. This significant event attracted over 100 communication service providers (CSPs) worldwide, eager to gain the latest insights from the Autonomous Networks (AN) industry.

Over past four years, AN has evolved from a mere concept to a large-scale deployment. At a strategic level, more than 14 CSPs worldwide have integrated AN into their corporate strategies, and 31 mainstream CSPs have formally endorsed the Autonomous Networks Manifesto. Within the industry, over 66 companies actively participated in creating TM Forum's fifth edition of the Autonomous Networks Whitepaper. Multiple CSPs also shared their hands-on experiences in the field of AN. The release of the whitepaper marks a significant milestone as it introduces the systematic AN Framework (ANF). This publication solidifies the global consensus within the AN industry and provides essential guidance, methodologies, and practical insights for CSPs seeking to implement AN on a broader scale.

During his open speech at the summit, George Glass, CTO of TM Forum, highlighted the growing recognition and commitment to AN within the industry. He emphasized that this trend will accelerate digital transformation, improve asset utilization, optimize cost structures, and deliver a superior user experience.

Zain Jordan, one of Zain's operating companies, has taken the lead in implementing AN and has successfully established a premium home broadband awareness and O&M platform. This platform utilizes experience awareness, precision marketing, proactive quality improvement, and on-site sales capabilities to significantly enhance user experience, elevate marketing success rates, and drive business success.

Du is also actively promoting innovative practices and will chart a strategic focus on initiatives such as fault prediction, automatic backup and repair, automatic network capacity management, and dynamic network slicing over the next three years. These efforts are aimed at realizing a Zero Touch Operation (ZTO) for network management.

Wang Hui, President of Huawei's NCE Data Communication Domain, said that Huawei's Network Digital Map has helped nearly 100 global CSPs accelerate their move to intelligent networks. It has undergone an independent evaluation by EANTC and achieved AN L3.8, the highest in the industry. Furthermore, it is equipped with the industry's first large network model to accelerate CSPs' evolution toward AN L4.

Concluding the summit, the spokesperson from Appledore Research presented their latest research white paper titled Autonomous Networks: An Architecture Evolution - Thinking differently to achieve success. This paper emphasizes the significance of evolving conventional network architecture for CSPs. Through a comprehensive analysis of key architectural elements such as autonomous domains, cross-domain collaboration, and hierarchical division of labor, it elucidates how this innovative architecture concept acts as a catalyst for CSPs to rapidly progress towards high Autonomous Networks.

The concept of AN, introduced by TM Forum, is gaining rapid momentum within the industry, drawing enthusiastic participation from various industry partners. These collaborators actively share insights, make valuable contributions, foster open communication, and inspire their peers. This collaborative spirit injects a powerful driving force into the telecom industry, propelling it forward on its journey towards high Autonomous Networks.
