Re: Women are multi-tasking
@Venks,

Some of the best Program Managers I've worked with have all been women, and they've earned there positions and reputation as been able to get things done and deliver.

We're also seeing woman take more higher up roles in the IT community, like Yahoo's CEO.

And as a father and husband, I can definitly say that I take my hat off to woman and there capabitilites

Re: Women are multi-tasking
@ Anum: Women are genetically born like that. There have been many papers, blogs, articles, debates over such a well discussed topic. Womens brain can process data that is fed into her system much efficiently than their counterparts. Womens brain can handle situations very efficiently in crisis like situations.

Women can take care of an entire family of she has the freedom to take decisions. Its been said in my part of the world where I live in. You educate a MAN and you educate 1 person in this world; You educate a WOMAN and you educate a FAMILY !

Hats off to all the Women.

Re: Women are multi-tasking
Good point, Anum! Surely that's why we see women like Sheryl Sandberg standing as posterwomen for "career and motherhood."

I won't mention Marissa Mayer, since I really don't feel the same about her persona as I do about Sandberg's.

Women are multi-tasking
Firstly a big applaud for these 25 women as well for dozens of women out there striving to make a change. It has been proven by many surveys that women have the ability to perform different tasks at the same time whereas men fail to do so. A women can at the same time talk on phone, work on laptop as well as take care of things around her.

Re: Information
If you can take care and raise nine kids and be the CEO of a company... then you have my full respect until the end of time! I know a lot of women who quit their jobs when they have kids because they "can't manage it" or "don't have time anymore." This just goes to show that if you put your heart and mind into it, you can achieve and take on anything!

Re: Inspiring list
I agree, this is such an interesting list! Now this is Girl Power...or should I say, Women Power? It is so encouraging to see how women are leading and shaping cities all over.

Re: So many to admire
the mother of nine seems to be more intent on filling cities than chaping them

Re: Information
A mother of 9 AND a CEO? What next? This certainly sounds like one superwoman worthy of mention.

John: Great feedback! I hadn't heard of the 30% Club but it's certainly relevant to this discussion. Helena Morrissey absolutely sounds like she belongs on our list. Thanks so much for telling us about her and her work.

Re: Inspiring list
Glad you enjoyed the read, BrittanyMichelle6! I was excited about the mayoral candidates in Paris as well. Though sources say the fight for the mayoral seat is getting pretty intense.

Then again, political races are always intense and sometimes tough to watch -- they get pretty nasty at times. I wonder if these candidates' tactics are being judged differently because they're all women. I've seen quite a bit about their mudslinging and public spats, but to me it seems no different than your typical political race.
