The Leading Lights, Light Reading's flagship awards program, is now open for entries.

You can begin your Leading Lights entry right now by visiting this link.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Leading Lights. We're presenting 20 awards across 20 categories, honoring the outstanding achievements of top companies and executives in the communications industry.

The awards aim to do more than just fuel the hype around new tech: Half of the contest categories focus on the practical application of cutting-edge tech from telecom service providers, their suppliers and the extended ecosystem. The remaining categories cover product innovation and corporate and individual achievement.

If you have any questions about the categories, process or anything else, please start by reading our Leading Lights FAQ.

Who's eligible?

The eligibility period spans the 12 months between Q2 2023 and Q2 2024. To qualify for the 2024 Leading Lights Awards, your product or service must have been introduced on or after April 1, 2023.

On our awards webpage, you can find last year's finalists and winners, plus a partial and growing list of this year's contest judges. In addition to Light Reading's editors, our judging panel includes technology and industry experts from Heavy Reading, Omdia, Canalys, Vertical Systems Group, Dell'Oro, Ookla, Opensignal and more – names you already know and respect.

The early entry deadline is Friday, May 17, so don't put it off – it will be here before you know it.
