CHICAGO -- Telco Systems today announced at the SUPERCOMM telecommunications trade show the commercial availability and U.S. debut of the new T6Pro, the first carrier-class IP Routing switch based on the new Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (AdvancedTCA®).

Targeting the carrier market, the new T6Pro, on view at Telco Systems booth 24823, is optimized for metro core and large-scale distribution applications in which high port density is crucial. With its high volume switching capability for data, voice and video traffic, the T6Pro provides multi-gigabit aggregation services for LAN data traffic, VoIP edge gateways, Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) solutions, and signaling and media gateways. Its switch fabric provides connectivity for 288 GigE ports or 24 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports within a single 12 Rack Unit (RU) chassis - making it the densest Gigabit platform on the market today.

Telco Systems' T6Pro is a multi-layer, multi-service metro core routing switch utilizing the state-of-the-art AdvancedTCA standardized platform architecture.

AdvancedTCA is a new standard developed by the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group with more than 100 companies participating. AdvancedTCA's objective is to provide an open, multi-vendor standardized architecture for carrier-grade applications. It defines blade and shelf types optimized for telecommunications, guarantees interoperability between vendors, and lowers the cost to develop, produce and maintain products while providing high reliability.

CHICAGO -- Telco Systems today at the SUPERCOMM telecommunications trade show booth 24823 officially unveiled the Access211 VoIP gateway and conducted the first public demonstrations of the superior VoIP voice quality of this innovative next-generation SIP-based VoIP gateway for broadband Internet telephone service that integrates routing capabilities and utilizes standard telephones and fax machines.

Telco Systems' Access211 VoIP broadband Internet gateway is able to provide superior voice quality, reduce cost to the consumer and ease installation, maintenance and management due to its integrated routing capabilities, unique traffic shaping ability and its implementation of advanced quality of service standards. Costs to the service provider and consumer are reduced because the Access211 eliminates the need to purchase an external router.

"The Access211's traffic shaping capability prevents heavy Internet data traffic from interfering with the bandwidth required for superior voice quality, and is a feature that distinguishes it from all other VoIP gateways in its class," said Irit Gillath, Telco Systems' Vice President of IP Product Line Management. Without traffic shaping, the voice quality in other phone gateways breaks up during simultaneous voice and heavy Internet data activity such as downloading music or e-mails with large attachments.

CHICAGO -- To support carrier migration strategies from circuit-switched to packet switched IP services, Telco Systems today at the SUPERCOMM telecommunications trade show booth 24823 introduced its new carrier-class Access60 HDI High-Density Integrated Access Device (IAD) to enable carriers to provide business customers with VoIP (Voice over IP), IP Centrex and other IP data services over existing TDM circuit-switched T1 or Ethernet network infrastructures.

"We expect the Access60 HDI to play an extremely important role in carrier migration strategies to enable them to use their legacy circuit-switched telephony infrastructure to provide enterprise VoIP and IP services to business customers," said Irit Gillath, Telco Systems' Vice President of IP Product Line Management. "Similarly, the Access60 HDI will also enable an enterprise to continue to use their legacy telephone equipment and still take advantage of the benefits of VoIP and other IP services."
